D.Ed. COURSE

The D.Ed., Program aims to train teachers for the schools in the government/ private sector in India.  The curriculum and evaluation systems adopted by the college are similar to those used in the typical D.Ed., Colleges.  Emphasis is given to the development of domain knowledge and teaching skills.  They take foundational and experiential course work to enable them to meet the students with linguistic, cultural, learning and behavioral diversity.  Senior/Guest Lecturer for different kinds of seminar to improve students theoretical and presentation knowledge for their future.

ELIGIBILITY
A  Citizen of India who has passed PUC 50% Marks.   For SC , ST Candidates 45 % in PUC.  He/She had studied kannada medium upto SSLC. He/She studied first language kannada in SSLC PUC.

DURATION OF THE COURSE AND MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION:
The duration of the Course for D.Ed., 2 years.  First year D.Ed., and Second Year D.Ed., Total Number of working days per year 230 days.  Every year Minimum duration for practice teaching shall be of six weeks, which includes programmes like micro teaching, simulated teaching and practice of communication skills and 6 weeks internship, Medium of instructions is Kannada.
